It was pretty chilly running weather for me - about 35 degrees at 0830 start. I was concerned that the right leg would give out on me without warning. Well, it warned me a lot, but never gave out. I finished the 6.2 miles in 60 minutes, 14 seconds. It took 30 seconds for me to get to the starting line after a guy dressed in colonial garb fired a musket, so I was actually a little faster than the official time recorded for me. I kept a 9:43 minute/mile pace - much better than I expected, so I am happy. I hope to one day look back and wonder why this pace was so great, but for today, it is.
