24 April - Lots of Walking

Last Friday walked 75 minutes in the neighborhood. Beautiful weather, nice night. Walked two hours throughout Arlington on Saturday night. Monday night did the cross trainer reverse level 13 for an hour. Today, walked to and from Pentagon City Mall and in the neighborhood, a total of an hour and a half. Enjoyable weather right now. Nice to be outside, except for the pollen count. Time to get the bike out again. I want to start riding to work a few days a week to save on gasoline.

Also walked around at the Air Force Memorial this evening. It is incredible.

This is a day picture I copied from the internet. It is even more amazing up close and at night. Very inspiring.

A Decent Week - 12 April

Monday 7 April, Wednesday 9 April, and Friday 11 April did cross trainer reverse for an hour at level 13. Saturday 12 April ran on 4 Mile Run and W &OD Trails for 60 minutes, and walked 60 minutes. Will have to measure it on the bicycle to see how far I went. Decent weather, nice flowers out.

I have gained a few pounds back in the last couple of weeks. Haven't worked out much until this week. School and work have taken their toll. Back into the groove now, I hope, and hope weight will start to drop again.

Dan has been very consistent with weight lifting, crunches, volleyball, and tennis. He is doing great.

Cherry Blossom Time 6 April

Walked with friends around the Tidal Pool for 2.5 hours Saturday 29 March. Enjoyed the beautiful cherry blossoms, though it was windy and a little cold. Also, so many tourists, it was hard to take the Metro, but the Kite Festival by the Washington Monument and the blossoms around the Tidal Pool near the Jefferson Memorial were fantastic. I'm sure there are shots of it on YouTube and other sites if you google "cherry blossom festival" and "Washington, DC."

Did the cross trainer at level 12 for an hour today, 6 April. Work and school have made it harder to work out, but I am trying to get back into it. Dan has been very consistent with lifting, cross trainer, volleyball, and tennis.

The Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run was today. 38,000 people ran it, I think the number was. A chilly, wet day to run. Kind of glad I didn't get in. I would like to run another race soon, but hopefully on a nicer day.
