First Post of 2010-- 24 January: On Track, In Spite of Injury

Happy New Year! I didn't realize I hadn't posted here since 31 December. I have lost more weight due to exercise and diet. I am down 35 lbs since 1 August 2009. I had a very slow start, but have had more success lately. I have been very consistent with workouts the last few weeks, but haven't written too many down here. I did 2 hours on the crosstrainer eliptical machine yesterday at level 14 and 1.5 hours today at level 15. I used to do the eliptical years ago, but could only rarely do level 14. Now it is standard for me. I have never done level 15 before today, so I am very happy with that. I'm very pleased with my progress in strength, endurance, and weight loss.

On the down side, I was also jogging and doing well with that until I have damaged my left knee pretty seriously. I have to go to an orthopedist now. In the meantime, I seem to be OK wearing a knee brace and doing low impact work, such as the eliptical machine.
